Is Sonam Kapoor jealous of Deepika Padukone?

Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor were never the best of friends. In fact, both were pitted against each as started off their journey in Bollywood together. Further the duo maintained safe distance from each other coz of a certain Ranbir Kapoor. But when they appeared on Karan Johar’s chit chat show Koffee with Karan last season, the two shocked everyone by getting along like a house on fire. The episode featuring Sonam and Dippy created quite a storm thanks to their lets-bash-Ranbir-Kapoor session. After that infamous KWK episode we thought RK’s exes would remain buddies if not besties. But that surely hasn’t happened. Coz when the Kapoor lass came on KWK this year with daddy dearest Anil Kapoor, she took digs at Ms Padukone.

The self proclaimed fashion icon made not-so-flattering comment on Deepika’s style statement. It was quite visible that the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor was in no mood to praise her contemporary who is currently the reigning queen of Bollywood. But we wonder why coz the Cocktail babe didn’t say anything nasty about Ms Kapoor when she graced Karan’s show this year along with Priyanka Chopra.

Maybe the Aisha starlet is jealous of DP’s growing popularity. After all, the dusky beauty is in demand and every filmmaker wants to sign her for their film, hai na? Guess it’s a case of sour grapes at least from Sonam’s side, no?
