Released in 1989 Aamir Khan starrer Raakh is an important movie for more than one reason. The film was Aamir’s first project after Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and wasn’t accepted well by the audience at the time, however it received much critical acclaim and subsequently bagged three national awards in 1989. It has developed a considerable following over the years. The film also marked the Bollywood debut of ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan, and film editor A. Sreekar Prasad.
