Is Sunny Leone really India’s ‘Most Desirable’ woman?
I saw the papers this morning with Sunny Leone’s sexy picture on the front page and the title reading ‘Sunny Leone: 2014’s Most Desirable Woman.’ The first thought that struck me was; on what basis is she being called desirable? Gone are the days when desirability was synonymous with one’s sex appeal, oomph, and sensuality. Apart from these factors, an actor’s performances, career choices, personality, versatility and roles too now find a place on the list when it comes to terming someone as desirable. Keeping all qualities in mind, I strongly believe that Sunny certainly isn’t India’s most desirable woman.
When I look back at the career choices that Sunny has made, monotony is the key word instead of versatility. Apart from bikinis, sex scenes and skin show, I can think of nothing more that the actress has brought to the table. I’m not against erotica, but the fact that Sunny has done JUST that in most of her films, speaks ill of the title newly assigned to her. What about varied roles, refreshing characters? Ragini MMS 2, Jism 2, Kuch Kuch Locha Hai, Matizaade, can you spot the difference?
