Ragini MMS 2 Movie Review : It delivers what it promises

Ragini MMS 2 movie review.
Rating: 3/5
The movie begins with Hanuman Chalisa and a series of disclaimers by the makers Balaji Motion Pictures; which also made the hit 2011 filmRagini MMS.
The sequel to Ragini MMS begins with the loud and obnoxious film-maker Rocky (played by Parvin Dabas), who wants to make a film based on the events that happened in the first film. He eyes Sunny (played by Sunny Leone) and wants her to play the role of Ragini in this film; which can potentially make or break his career.
A broody scriptwriter, an extravagant television actor, a super-geeky psychiatrist and a b-grade actress among others make up the rest of the characters in the film.
The movie-in-a-movie starts off with the chills pretty quickly and it seems as if the director of the film, Bhushan Patel, does not want to step off the horror pedal. Everything seems sinister and scary; right from common things like putting a cup of coffee on a table; there is that element of creepiness to every tiny thing. Bhushan kinda over did it instead of concentrating on the story.
The film has some typical horror-film-formula scenes like sudden apparitions, disembodied children’s noises, doors creaking open and shut and a sinister vibe in the haunted house with eerie noises. The sounds are what make this film a worthy watch. The sounds are what add to the horror factor in this film.
The moments of comedy are few but are much welcomed. The b-grade actress Monali (played by Sandhya Mridul) brings in those moments of comedy with her broken English and a quirky sense of humor.
Sunny Leone has outdone herself as far as her acting goes. She handled the possessed-climax scene with elan and her dancing skills are also pretty decent. The songs are peppy and catchy; besides, they’ve already grabbed the attention of millions all over.
Overall Verdict: A treat for horror movie fans!
