Genelia D’Souza and Kalki Koechlin at Lakme Fashion Week

Ah. I love this time of the year. So many fashion shows, so much to talk about and so much to critique about.

But that’s not it. It is during this time that our favourite celebrities decide to experiment with their wardrobe. Few even go to the extent of experimenting with their hair.

Today, we have Genelia D’Souza and Kalki Koechlin trying out something new. I can’t for sure say that Kalki is experimenting because she has always had this extreme sense of Fashion. But Genelia on the other hand has always been very reserved.

GENELIA D’SOUZA

Spotted at the Lakme Fashion Week 2014 was this pretty face, smiling brightly like she was advertising for a brand of toothpaste. Alright! I love her smile so I’m going to stop here. What surprised me was the choice of her dress or probably its colour. Wearing a Nishka Lulla outfit, Genelia D’Souza seemed pretty confident. Completing her look were tan Tory Burch sandals. Agreed that the tan colour was matching the piping on her top but I feel that Manolo Blahnik’s pumps could have given her entire appearance a much needed sexy look. Her make up was standard as always but I have a feeling that it wasn’t her best hair day. From my side its a no no. You guys like?

KALKI KOECHLIN

Was it I’m-gonna-rock-the-casual-look day for Kalki Koechlin or is she going Eat Pray Love’s Julia Roberts on us post her ‘time-out’ with Mr Kashyap? I hope not! Spotted at the Lakme Fashion Week was Ms Koechlin, wearing a rather smart cropped top and matching boho pants by Nishka Lulla. She completed her look with a brown hat, matching brown sandals and a graphic print LV wallet. But the question is, was the wallet really needed? Now again even Kalki opted for minimal make up but thankfully her hair were under control. Now, I like the way she carried that cropped top but what’s with those pants? That elastic has to be the biggest deal breaker ever! What do you guys
