Sonam Kapoor afraid of Rekha?

Everyone knows this already and to those who don’t know, Sonam Kapoor will be playing Mili in her upcoming film Khubsoorat. The role is inspired from the role played by Rekha in the 1980 film of the same name. Sonam’s film is being produced by her sister Rhea Kapoor. And now we hear that these Kapoor sisters wish to seek blessings from Rekha. What more, they even wish to show the first edit of Khubsoorat to her.

A source told a popular tabloid, “Sonam Kapoor, who reprises the role that Rekha played in the 1980 film, had sought Rekha’s best wishes even before shooting for their film had started. Now that the shoot is over and the post production is on, the Kapoor sisters want to show the first edit of the film to Rekha.” We also hear that Sonam had met Rekha at an event where the latter told the former that she will lend her support to the film only after watching it.

Earlier, there were reports that Sonam Kapoor’s Khubsoorat is a remake of the 1980 film that starred Rekha, but these reports aren’t true. Apparently, Sonam and Rhea are great fans of director Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s films, and that this upcoming film is only inspired by Mukherjee’s classics.
