Aamir Khan and Satyamev Jayate, perfect combination!

It is not news that Bollywood actors love expanding their territories and venturing into something new and unconventional. They love trying their luck on Television by taking up shows that they can host or judge. From the biggest of celebs to the newest of stars, TV continues to remain a favorite venture. One among these many stars is perfectionist Khan- Aamir Khan.

Aamir Khan made his TV debut with the show Satyamev Jayate. The show deals with social issues faced by commoners. There was a lot of hype created when the show was announced. Being Aamir, the perfectionist who does not like to indulge in revealing details of his upcoming projects, stayed mum about Satyamev Jayate.

The show began on a very low key but as expected it became one of the highest ranking shows on Television. Thanks to Aamir Khan’s quirkiness that lights up the entire show, the show became a rage. It focussed on problems and social taboos including poverty, dowry, rape, sexual assualt, foetus determination etc.

Aamir Khan made a very wise choice by opting to make his television debut with this show. Not only did it give him the moolah but it also made him the nation’s favorite- one who came across as polite and showed genuine interest in the problems of people.

Another thing that makes the show stand out is the music album of the show. It was Aamir Khan’s idea to come up with this. After each episode there were singers who deepened the already grave mood of the audience by their wonderful songs.

The show’s first season was aired in March 2012. The second season has just begun and the effect is quite tangible. Aamir Khan definitely makes smart moves and Satyamev Jayate stands testimony to that.
